SEMUC CHAMPEY TOUR

An astounding system of natural pools set amid a dense tropical jungle. A natural limestone bridge spans 500 meters above the waters of the mighty Cahabon River. Surrounding it, there are a number of spectacular calm turquoise-water pools. This amazing natural wonder can be best seen from a look-out point atop a hill, but in the very warm weather of the jungle, the clear water below beckons visitors to take a refreshing swim in these extraordinary pools.

We pick up in all hotels in Central Antigua, Air BnB or family homestay. Is very important to receive the exact address.

ITINERARY

Day 1

Shared transportation from Antigua to Lanquin (8hrs approximately on the way)
No meals included on this day.
Accommodation included: Hotel El Retiro, km 272 carretera a Lanquin.

Day 2

Shared tour to Semuc Champey and K'anba Caves.
Famed for its great 300m-long natural limestone bridge, on top of which is a stepped series of pools with cool, flowing river water good for swimming.

The day will start with a pick up in your hostel. You will be driven from Lanquin to Semuc Champey in a 4*4 truck.

Visit the lookout and enjoy the pools of turquoise water, after that taste a delocious luch in one of the local restaurants. Then visit the K'anba cave (water cave) where you finalize the tour.

At the end, transportation back to the hostel.
